Wellbeing for UICOMP Medical Students Heading link
Student Counseling Services (at UICOMP) serves students registered in the College of Medicine and College of Nursing programs at the Peoria campus.
Cost and insurance
As part of tuition and fees each semester, students are charged a mandatory health service fee. This fee covers the general operating costs of Student Counseling Services, which provides counseling and wellness activities. Registered students have access to services covered by student health fees, regardless of their insurance coverage. If you require services beyond what is provided under student health fees, please refer to your insurance policy (CampusCare or private health plans).
Student Counseling Services is committed to supporting all students in achieving and maintaining optimum physical, mental, and emotional health. Our aim is to foster healthy patients who become healthy providers.
Scheduling
Students are routinely scheduled for the next available appointment during business hours. A student in crisis may be scheduled for an emergency office visit by one of our providers as needed.
To make an appointment, contact Debra Disney.
