Welcome to the Galesburg Family Medicine Residency Program located in Galesburg, Illinois at OSF HealthCare St. Mary Medical Center, sponsored by the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP). During residency, we will embark on a transformative journey that combines rigorous academic training with compassionate, community-focused care.
A Collaborative Foundation: UICOMP and OSF HealthCare
Our residency is part of UICOMP’s extensive network of graduate medical education, which sponsors 15 ACGME-accredited residency programs across central Illinois. This collaboration ensures that residents receive comprehensive training in both academic and community settings, preparing them to meet the diverse needs of patients in various healthcare environments.
At OSF St. Mary Medical Center, you’ll benefit from a partnership that emphasizes personalized support and hands-on learning. The program is designed to help residents thrive as both skilled physicians and compassionate caregivers, with a focus on continuity of care across all ages and settings.
Training in a Community-Centered Environment
Galesburg offers a unique setting for your residency, blending small-town charm with a commitment to comprehensive healthcare. OSF St. Mary Medical Center provides a wide range of services, including primary care, outpatient services, specialty care, and a dedicated birthing center. The Birthing Center offers Level II nursery services, board-certified obstetricians, family medicine physicians with OB, and tele-NICU support from OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, ensuring comprehensive care for mothers and infants.
My desire is to educate exceptional family medicine physicians to be compassionate, intellectually curious, collaborative leaders who advocate for patients and provide the highest quality care while serving rural Illinois.
