Resident Benefits
During their first year of radiology residency, the residents will be measured for their personalized lead aprons as a welcoming gift from the program. The lead apron design and color is selected by each individual resident and is customized with the residents’ name, as shown below.
An iPad is issued to each resident. The iPad is provided as a resource for the residents to use during the course of their residency.

All residents attend AIRP during their residency. Residents are given the option to attend the AIRP virtually or in person at the ACR Institute for Radiologic Pathology in Washington D.C. The institution pays for the tuition.
Residents are also allowed to moonlight starting in their second year. Weeknights, residents cover for potential contrast reactions for CT and MR examinations at one of our outpatient imaging centers.
Other benefits that our program provides to our residents include: a $1,200 education reimbursement stipend per year and a week off to attend conferences. Approved resident presentations at a regional or national meeting will be fully funded by the department.
