Sprina Shen, DODr. Sprina Shen is from southern California where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology from UCSD and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Western University of Health Science COMP. She then completed her Pediatric Residency at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital, where her mentors and inpatient experiences inspired her to pursue a career in the field of pediatric hospitalist medicine. Sprina’s interests include focusing on quality improvement in medical education geared towards improving clinical decision making, as well as improving practice pathways to promote patient safety and decreased length of hospitalization. After completing fellowship, she plans to work at an academic teaching hospital. During her free time, she is out hiking with her dog, trying new snacks and ice cream flavors, watching animated shows (she needs to remain up to date with the interests of her patient population!), playing basketball, and searching for her next travel destination. |
