Prepared and Ready

Family medicine is the broadest specialty in medicine. For residents to gain the experience needed, exposure matters. The UICOMP Family Medicine Residency is virtually unopposed, meaning more hands-on learning, greater access to patients and more procedures. Through rotations, residents gain a comprehensive training in diverse medical fields including pediatrics, surgical, behavioral health and more.

Competitive Compensation

The UICOMP Family Medicine Residency program offers generous salary and benefits. Paired with Central Illinois’ low cost of living, residents can experience a higher quality of life for less.

Trained to Sustain

Being a medical professional is more than a job. It’s a vocation. We recognize the realities of working in health care, which is why we train residents to care for their own health as actively as they do their patients’. Our faculty is personally committed to resident well-being. By equipping residents with tools, resources and support, we can preemptively address physician burnout and empower residents to lead successful and sustainable careers.
