Our program is located at located at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, a regional tertiary care medical center with a Level I Trauma Center. Its state-of-the-art Emergency Department includes:

  • 57 treatment rooms
  • large Trauma/Resuscitation rooms
  • in-department radiology
  • all key-carded private patient rooms

Children’s Hospital of Illinois — OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is also home to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois, the largest children’s hospital between Chicago and St. Louis.

Jump Simulation — A large, world-class simulation center, with dedicated simulation curriculum and faculty.

About Our Patients

OSF Saint Francis Medical Center sees more than 88,000 annual emergency visits (20-25% pediatrics).

Saint Francis is a base station hospital for a large EMS system in Central Illinois. About 20% of ED patients arrive by ambulance.

High patient acuity: More than 20% of ED patients are admitted.
