Dr. Kaar grew up in Peoria and attended Bradley University as a Biology major. She continued her training at Rush Medical College and completed her residency in family medicine at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois, graduating in 2008. After residency, Dr. Kaar joined a group practice with Advocate Health Care, working in Orland Park. After four years, she missed the teaching aspect of medicine and transitioned to faculty at Advocate Christ Family Medicine Residency Program. In 2016, Dr. Kaar and her family moved back closer family in central Illinois and joined the faculty at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria Family Medicine Residency.
Dr. Kaar’s interest is in integrative medicine and she completed a two year Fellowship in Integrative Medicine through University of Arizona.
Dr. Kaar lives in Edwards with her husband Brendan and their two sons, Micah and Isaiah. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, yoga and playing piano.
