Jerri Genovese joined UICOMP’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine as a Clinical Associate in 2019. Jerri is excited to be living her values of compassion, wellness, and continued learning as a part of the UICOMP’s Center for Wellbeing. Jerri completed her Master of Social Work at Aurora University in 2016 where she specialized in clinical and addiction counseling. In addition to being a licensed social worker, she is also a Certified Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor. In the past, Jerri has been an ICASA Certified Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Counselor as well as an ICDVP Board Certified Partner Abuse Intervention Professional.
Jerri has had amazing opportunities to build relationships and gain experience from a number of diverse populations and settings within the community. She is passionate about the transformative power of connection and is truly grateful for each and every individual who has entrusted her with their inner work and care.
In her personal life, she is an avid reader, nature enthusiast, and mother to two bright, dynamic daughters. She enjoys sunshine, cooking and the joy of being present with her family and friends.
