A native of New Jersey, Dr. Denise Mammolito received her BS, Summa Cum Laude, in Biology from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, New Jersey and her medical degree from UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Mammolito completed her Surgical Internship and Residency in General Surgery at UMDNJ as well as a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology.
A member of our faculty since 1992, Dr. Mammolito is Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery. She is the recipient of two community leadership and education awards and was the President of the American Cancer Society Board of Directors, Peoria unit, from 1999-2001. She is a Board Member of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Memorial Affiliate, Peoria, Illinois, 2008-present. Dr. Mammolito maintains research affiliations with many regional and national oncology groups.
Dr. Mammolito is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is on the active staff of all three Peoria hospitals. She lives in the Peoria area with her husband Peter and their two children.
