Research Poster Support

Help with research posters is available for UICOMP faculty and students. Please be advised that last minute requests may not be possible based on job request and staff schedule.

Community Relations Services

UICOMP Community Relations department can provide design consult, formatting and review services for $32/hour. It is recommended that Community Relations staff review your poster before printing. They can review for appropriate logo use, optimum alignment and spacing, and check images (photos, graphics) for adequate size/resolution for printing. For help, contact Blair Crane at [email protected].

Research Services

Research Services offers free consulting for your research poster, proof-reading, and assistance with graph and chart design. For help, contact Sarah Donohue at [email protected].

Library Services

The Library of the Health Sciences Peoria has prepared a Library Guide on best practices and guidance to create scientific posters. The Librarians also offer a customizable workshop to facilitate scientific poster creation. If you are interested in the workshop or additional resources, reach out to the Ask-a-Librarian email, [email protected], for more information.

UICOMP works with local vendors to print Research posters. Research Services and/or Community Relations can assist with connecting you to these sources.

NOTE: For Research Day posters, Academic Affairs will cover the cost of one poster (UICOMP medical students only). If Academic Affairs is covering the cost of your poster, you must work with Community Relations.

To initiate a project with Community Relations staff, complete a Media Service Requisition form. (Note: This does not apply to student Research Day posters, as Academic Affairs has already provided a requisition covering all student printing.) Approval from your mentor is required.
