AMY STANFILL, MD

Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery
Assistant Director TraP, Simulation Lab
Dr. Stanfill is originally from Iowa. She received her doctorate of medicine from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa and completed a General Surgery residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Dr. Stanfill completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Surgery from Miami Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida. She is board certified in General Surgery.
Dr. Stanfill is Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery. She joined our faculty in July of 2007 and functions as an attending of the Pediatric Surgery Service. She is the Director of the Oral Board Preparedness Course for the General Surgery Residency Program and directs two Mock Oral Exams annually. Dr. Stanfill is Assistant Director of TraP, the surgical simulation lab. Her professional interests include Minimally Invasive Surgery and resident education.
She lives in Peoria with her husband, Dr. Robert Stanfill.
