Professional Education
CIMA is a professional education initiative designed to disseminate empirically informed medication algorithms, patient and family education, and outcomes assessment systems that support the psychopharmacotherapeutic treatment of schizophrenia, major depression, and bipolar disorder, consistent with recommendations of the 2003 report of the President’s New Freedom Commission on Mental Health. Since its inception in July 2004, CIMA has provided education, implementation planning, and clinical training to personnel in mental health treatment agencies across the State.
