THE PEORIA MEDICAL ALUMNI COUNCIL
The Alumni Council's mission is simple: to enhance and support educational and humanitarian endeavors for students, residents, faculty, and alumni of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP).
Chaired by Dr. Robert Sparrow, the Alumni Council develops lasting experiences that benefit graduates and students. UICOMP graduates with an interest in joining PMAC should call 309-680-8613 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
HOW DOES PMAC HELP?
Each year, the Alumni Council provides funding to support the White Coat ceremony in August, which welcomes incoming medical students with a banquet and presentation of their white coats; PMAC helps sponsor an event during a Peoria Chief's baseball game; but moreover, the Council provides financial support to assist students in traveling across the country and abroad for medical conferences, research presentations and other learning experiences.
EDUCATIONAL ENHANCEMENT AWARDS
The Peoria Medical Alumni Council provides funding to groups for educational enhancement events, and up to $1,000 to reimburse a medical student for attendance at an educational program thanks to the endowment established in honor of Dr. Robert A. Flinn. Click here for the criteria and application form(s).
