Wireless Printing Instructions

Cat Lab Printing at UICOMP

Note: Cat Lab printing is only available when connected to the wired or wireless network in the UICOMP building.

 

The following instructions and script are for Windows users. The Black and White printer will work correctly with Vista, XP, and Windows 7. The Color printer only works with XP and Vista at this time. The CatLab Printers script must be run each time you connect to the UICOMP wireless network for printing. If you have questions or problems or would like manual server details to configure your Mac or Linux laptop, please email mkazmar@uic.edu.

 

  1. Download the Cat Lab Printing script from here. Save it to your Desktop or some other place that is easy to find.
  2. Once saved, Double click the script’s icon. CatLab Printer ICON
  3. If you see a dialog similar to the following, please uncheck the indicated box and click Run. Security Warning
  4. Enter your user name and password.

If you have already printed to the CatLab printers from your current computer, your account balance will appear in the upper left corner and you’ll be able to print to either printer.

 

If this is your first time printing from this computer, please allow a few moments for the printer drivers to install. Vista users will see the following dialog during installation: Please click the Install Driver button.

The next dialog will look like this: Please click the Continue button.

Once the printer installation is complete, your account balance will appear in the upper right corner.
