Version 8 Upgrade:
- Blackboard was upgraded to Version 8 SP 3 in August.
- Patches were applied to address problems
with editing course sites,
with uploading files using Firefox 3,
and with editing Grade Center data
using Internet Explorer 7.
- Instructors, Version 8 provides a new Grade Center,
so please see the Version 8 documentation at the
ITL Blackboard Support Website,
Blackboard Service Schedule:
- Sunday 6 AM to 11 AM: down for maintenance.
- 4 AM daily: down a few minutes for maintenance.
- Check UpReport for status information.
- Call ACCC Network Operations at 312-413-8080 anytime
to report Blackboard service disruption.

Students:
Instructors, Teaching Staff and TAs:
- Student enrollment information is updated
twice daily
for course sites which are based on course reference numbers
(CRNs).
This process starts a week before instruction begins.
If your students are not enrolled,
check the CRNs and email corrections to blackboard@uic.edu.
Instructors and TAs can enroll individual students using
the Blackboard Course Control Panel.
