OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is a 616 bed multispecialty tertiary center which is the Regional Perinatal Center for Central Illinois. The emergency room has a level I trauma center designation. The Stroke Network and newly remodeled neurodiagnostic center provides care throughout Central Illinois. OSF Saint Francis Medical Center purchased the first Gamma Knife in Downstate Illinois.

Methodist Medical Center is a busy, 357 bed facility that maintains consistent financial stability. Our residency is the only teaching program based at Methodist and has busy internal medicine, pediatric and obstetrical services. You are exposed to, and learn to deal with, a wide range of medical conditions, from routine illnesses to rare diseases. 

The Maternal Fetal Diagnostic Center provides services to >5000 high risk patients. The Perinatal Center covers 29 hospitals in Central Illinois with an active Life Flight maternal transport program. The graduating residents are trained in the management of high risk pregnancies throughout their four years of training.
