In 1987, Dr. Brady joined the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP). He currently holds the title of Clinical Professor of Radiology and Surgery with the College. In 1997 and 2020, Dr. Brady was awarded the Faculty of the Year Award at UICOMP. In 2004, 2011 and 2015, Dr. Brady was awarded the Dirkse Award for Excellence in Radiology by the radiology residents. In 2005, Dr. Brady was selected to be a Fellow in the American College of Radiology, an honor bestowed to 10% of radiologists in this country.
In 1992, it was decided that a Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program should be instituted at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Dr. Brady accepted the position of Program Director of the residency. Dr. Brady played a key role in subsequently establishing successful fellowships in Breast Imaging, Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Neuroradiology, and the newest programs, ESIR and an Independent IR/DR residency.
Dr. Brady’s dedication to teaching is proven by his many publications in nationally recognized journals, book chapters, scientific exhibits, and presentations at the local and national level as well as multiple teaching awards by the radiology residents.
