The College of Medicine at Peoria continues to grow and improve. Our mission is to "Lead Collaboration to Improve Health." UICOMP accomplishes this through physician education, research, patient care, and community service. Our graduates are accomplished physicians many of whom remain in Central Illinois. Our research programs are making critical discoveries, particularly in the area of cancer. Many patients, both children and adult, have been cared for by UICOMP physicians. For forty years, the College has played a key role in our community and with your help, we plan to accomplish even more.
Creating new or expanded programs requires investment, yet almost all of UICOMP's funds are already committed to existing programs. The Dean's unrestricted fund provides the Dean with "seed" money to use where it is most needed. This might be the urgent purchase of replacement technology for student lecture hall, temporary salary support for a critical new hire or key research equipment to obtain a new grant.
Funds go to support the goals of the college and are allocated by the Dean to address the areas where they are likely to have the highest impact.
Gifts to the Peoria Dean's unrestricted fund will be used to further our mission of improving the health of our community through education, research, patient care and community service.
Thanks for supporting UICOMP.
