Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship

Cardiovascular Disease specialists treat patients that have acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions including coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmia, myocardial infarction, structural heart disease and congenital heart disease.

UICOMP, in association with OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center and OSF Healthcare Cardiovascular Institute, is pleased to offer an ACGME accredited subspecialty fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases. We believe we offer a unique three-year training program which will provide fellows with excellent career preparation necessary to become outstanding cardiovascular specialists.

Our goals are:

  • to provide robust clinical training in all areas of cardiovascular disease
  • to provide exposure to a wide range of clinical research
  • to do so in a collegial, collaborative and respectful environment which fosters outstanding work ethic, professionalism and lifelong learning

Our fellowship consists of a three-year training program which follows completion of an ACGME accredited internal medicine residency.  We adhere to the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) policies, and applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
